![]() Before anything, we just want to give a big thanks for checking out the website and we do hope you find this concept and idea fresh, and more than anything, useful. That being said… Simply put, we're all about what you want. We want to bring to the table a new and better way to outlet automotive journalism. Down-to-earth car reviews, useful and funny podcasts, and a powerful community are just some of the things that will ultimately make us the next big thing. Sensate
Hmmmm, where to begin? Hello, I’m Danny, the co founder of gearobi and lead editor. I came up with this idea with an ex-comrade, phasezero (whom might be doing some cameos here and there), and we both decided it was something fun to try out. I never in a million years would have guessed this would become something much more than a project, but I guess it turned for the better. I love cars, playing tennis, listening to music (everything, really!), stumbling upon the internets, and I consider myself a tech geek of high status. As far as my tastes are concerned, I like any car that can win my cold heart over. Why am I in this business you ask? I love driving, automotive design (just as huge to me as any art), and the feeling of having the windows down and playing music no one has heard of yet. My dream is taking a Mazda MX5 around the country (a la “Cars” the movie) and own offices where I can park inside. I’m completely into anything cars, whether it’s Nascar or F1 racing, taking a tour of the mega VW phaeton plant, or sitting around and talking about cars. To sum it all up, I feel absolutely blessed to have this website, my badass editors, and where this road might and will hopefully lead us. And of course, your bored self that read all of this!Nader
Hey what’s up guys my name is Anthony and I go by Nader. To start off, I’m a Volkswagen kind of guy. I love everything euro and practical. I also have what I call weird loves, which include wacky things like fast vans, rat cars, rusted hoods, junkyard sleepers and everything in between. I have love cars from a very early age. My mom tells me that me and my toy cars were inseparable in my diaper days. My hands were always full of Ferraris and toy limos. My passion in life is film. I have always been fascinated with movies and videos. It’s relatively the new in art and pretty much already rules the world. I have a movie quote for any and every situation, and would not hold any back if an opportunity arises. My style of writing is influenced by Hunter S. Thompson, the doctor of journalism. It’s something about using words that are rarely heard and expected, yet widely understood that gets me. It’s a beautiful thing. I am currently attending FIU as a full time student, pursuing an AA in Liberal Arts, and will eventually transfer to a great film school somewhere. Thanks for taking your sweet, sweet time reading this. Nader out!Icehawk
Hey there, Jamie “Icehawk” here at Gearobi! Who the heck am I? If you are a Miatahead then you may very well already know me as the sometime guru “Icehawk”. For those of you who aren’t total Miata geeks I’m a guy who loves to autocross his modified 1997 Miata with the SCCA and has spent a lot of time testing and tuning various 1st and 2nd generation MX-5 Miatas. How did I get here? Like many enthusiasts I’ve been into cars since I had Matchboxes and Dukes of Hazard lunch pails and I still remember as a youth of six or seven sitting in his lap pretending to drive dad’s Datsun 260zx so it’s always been there for me. As I got older and matured the pure artistry of design and engineering has become a passion, I can’t help it but some cars are as beautiful to me as any piece of art or a gorgeous woman – and let’s not forget the glorious sounds some engines make! Ok, I’m getting glassy eyed thinking of Ferraris and Lamborghinis, time to go now… |
